Carl Craig Psyche From Beyond Remix Competition
Detroit techno legend Carl Craig will himself preside over this 30-year-anniversary competition, which offers you the chance to remix his classic track “From Beyond.”
The winner of the competition will bask in a $6000 music production prize package and an opportunity to be considered for a prestigious release on Carl’s esteemed Planet E imprint itself.
For this competition, Carl has partnered up with Loopmasters to venerate the 30-year-anniversary of his Planet E Communications label for this once-in-a-lifetime remix competition.
Offering up the original stems of his classic 1989 track “From Beyond” for the very first time, Loopcloud users have the unique opportunity to put their creative stamp on the tune. Those who enter will automatically be in the running to win a $6000 grand prize music production package, as well as the priceless possibility of an official release on Planet E itself.

To enter, producers must go to Loopcloud and download the “From Beyond” stems. Applicants must submit their remix using at least one sample from the Loopcloud library before November 2rd (23:59 PT).

Carl Craig is a name synonymous with Detroit techno. As music producer, DJ, and founder of the record label Planet E Communications. He is known as a leading figure and pioneer in the second wave of Detroit techno artists during the late 1980s and early 1990s.He has recorded under his given name in addition to a variety of aliases, including Psyche, BFC, and Innerzone Orchestra.
Craig has remixed artists such as Maurizio, Theo Parrish, Tori Amos, and Depeche Mode.[3] He was nominated for the 2008 Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for his remix of the Junior Boys track "Like a Child."[9] He has released collaborative recordings with Moritz von Oswald (2008's Recomposed) and Green Velvet (2015's Unity).
