‘Dirtyworx’ ‘Sthlm EP’ sees Headtunes Recordings combine their roots in deep and tech house with more recent leanings towards a funkier and bumping sound.   Two original tracks are complemented by remixes from the UK’s Rob Clarke and Brazilian beat-master Jota Wagner. Dirtyworx is a trio of Swedish producers/DJs - Reza Assareh , Fredrick Jansson and Sam Mehraban.  They have had a slew of high quality productions on such labels as Tenor Records, Celestial Recordings, Rebeat and Sunhouse Records, with support from respected names including Laurent Garnier, Luciano, Brian Tappert, Dave Seaman, Presslaboys, Danny Tenaglia, Marc Jay, Tim Baker and many more.  Both ‘Mustache’ and ‘Una Cola’ are late night heads-down groovers treading the border where deep house meets that of a techier persuasion, with well crafted percussion adding the necessary energy.

Rob Clarke follows up his recent 4 track ‘Depth Charge EP’ for Headtunes with a more jacked-up take on ‘Una Cola’.  Rob is known for hosting the bi-weekly Serious Sounds Radio Show on popular net radio station/community Chicago House FM and can also be found spinning at Chicaboom events around the South of England.

Hugely popular Brazilian DJ and producer Jota Wagner completes the EP with a funky, chugging and slightly acidic rework of ‘Una Cola’.  Known for many things including his Lunatic Jazz brand, which includes a record label and radio show, and for being a member ofColors Sound System, Jota is also well regarded as a producer with releases on Conya, Tango, Eight Tracks and Beat Code amongst other labels.

Since 2005 Headtunes have released music by respected underground producers including Audio Soul Project, Pete Dafeet, Dexter, Sleazy McQueen and Jay West alongside up and coming talents such as Rob Clarke, Brenden Wesley, Markus Mehta, Matt Prehn and Bass Experiment.  Their diverse sound covers everything from nu disco through house and techno.
