// Humandrone - Beyonder EP - Lost My Dog

Lost My Dog's latest release the Blueyonder EP comes from a producer called Humandrone aka Taka Shibuya from Kanagawa in Japan, who currently has music out so far on We Play House, Snuff Traxx and his own label Canaria Schallplatten. The Blueyonder title mix is like stepping back into the old acid house era, the young producer's sound comes directly from the classic tracks that were so instrumental in taking the Chicago and Detroit sound to the world. Humandrone - Beyonder EP (LMD046) by Lost My Dog

Two remixes of the title track 'Beyonder' are provided by Chicago and San Francisco legend Joshua Iz (Vizual Records, Iz & Diz) and Lost My Dog boss Pete Dafeet. Both remixes take on slightly different styles neither of which seem to retain the original elements of the title track, the Joshua Iz mix has deep atmospheric synths, and skippy hats with a bassline that drives the track and one for the really deep heads among us. The Pete Dafeet mix has a more uplifting feel to it, with stabby rhodes, piano chords,  a shufflely beat, and nice use of atmospheric sounds. The Deep Sea & The House mix is another example of the early house influence on Humandrones production style and sound, a real old school sounding beat, punchy snares and hats, the atmospheric elements of the track and bassline are fantastic and really makes the whole track work and for us the stand out track on the EP. Upcoming UK producers Remote People have been impressing lately and complete the EP with a slower tempo, moody take on Deep Sea & The House.

Release Date 18th July 2011.
