Melt! Festival is back for it's 14th year in 2011. Many of the finest acts in indie and electronic music will take to the stage against the stunning backdrop of Ferropolis - one of the most unique and truly beautiful festival locations in Europe. Located just over an hour from Berlin, this is the ideal festival destination for those wishing to sample some of Berlin's well-documented nightlife and culture in addition to catching some of their favourite bands and DJ's. Fresh from being nominated for a European Festival Award 2010, Melt! won the Artist's Favourite European Festival award. Melt! Festival's also known for its many co-operations with other artists. Modeselektor Stage for two days in a row and the labels Live At Robert Johnson as well as Bpitch Control are taking over the Sleepless Floor. Melt! also have the Total Confusion party at the Big Wheel and the legendary Detroit techno label Planet E with label boss Carl Craig DJing back to back with Radio Slave, who will also joined by label mate the mighty Loco Dice.
Many festival goers will be pleased to hear about Melt! festivals continuing co-operation with Ostgut Ton, the label which is connected to Berlin's Berghain like no other. The label's about to take over the Big Wheel Stage for four hours on Sunday – yes, there's a Sunday at Big Wheel folks!
