Once again, Scandalism is bringing a headline act to Dalston basement club The Nest, only usually seen at a super club. If there's one DJ likely to break out in 2011, it's Alex Metric.2010 saw Alex Metric chosen, as one of four rising stars, to become Radio 1, 'in new DJs we trust'. After a year of critically acclaimed remixes for Gorillaz, NERD, La Roux, Ellie Goulding and more. Metric announced that he was leaving Radio 1 to concentrate on his productions, "my first love and the reason I’m here today is making music; I need to give that all my energy and attention." A bold move that has already paid off, with the announcement of an impending album 'Open Yours Eyes' on EMI.
Support comes from Union, fresh from touring with Faithless and running the biggest and best student nights London has ever seen, they tore Brixton Academy up for New Year's Eve, and are hotly tipped for 2011. Jacob Plant, already a respected and widely tipped producer, talent having worked with and remixed a whole host of household names including Chase & Status, Deadmau5, Little Boots, Sidney Sampson, Chuckie and Major Lazer.
Upcoming live acts Ursa Minor, and Lighthouses complete the bill, along with resident in chief Stripes.
