The reason WEPLAYMUSIC has been our favourite blog over the last year or so is because of it's consistent focus of proper underground music, it's easy to navigate site and unbeatable and exclusive mix downloads. Every time we visit the site we learn something new about the music we hold dear to our hearts. . deep/tech house, minimal/techno, disco and alternative electronic oddities. WEPLAYMUSIC are Simon Ledder and Mattie Twentythree and they follow the simple ethos of playing the very best of all of the above at various social soiree's in London and up North. These guys are not impressed by big name DJ's, the latest trends or champagne soaked two-bob celeb riddled clubs, they are simply aroused by people getting together, getting down and cutting the rug like nobodies watching. . . and that's why we love them! Our favourite area of their blog is their mix series which is split into four sections:

- WPM ltd - Their flagship series of cutting edge exclusive mixes from the likes of Jay Shepheard and Rainer Weichhold commissioned for WEPLAYMUSIC.

- WPM presents... - A series for one off label/artist showcases and live sets.

- WPM - Simon and Mattie's very own mix series.

- LDN/MAN/UK - Mixes from various musically like minded humans from around the country.

Check WEPLAYMUSIC in the cellar for Triangle @ Hobby Horse, 281 Kingsland Road, Hackney, London on 30th April. They are collaborating with Dalston faces MAKE ME and THIS IS NOT HAPPENING for a bi-monthly shakedown in the new basement boogie space. It's free to get in and is open from 9pm til 3am. Lovely job.
