Well and truely in the Champions League of European techno producers laying claim to works on some powerhouse labels like Intacto, Cocoon, Great Stuff, Rebel One etc, Frankfurt's finest, Gregor Tresher takes some time out to talk to us about his new techno album 'Lights from the inside' spilling the beans about Studio equipment and teleportation.

Your a busy guy Gregor with plenty going on. . what did you do yesterday? Caught up on sleep as it was Monday and I´ve been on the road over the weekend. Started to work on my live set for the tour coming up. Went out for dinner. Watched four episodes of Breaking Bad.
We here at SCM towers are particularly feeling 'Black to zero' it is so well balanced and and the production is fantastic, kinda has a 'Metro Area' like 'glitchyness' to it. . where does your inspiration come from where production is concerned. I´m inspired by other people´s music of course, but also from my everyday life and from DJ'ing and travelling.
Who is your Favorite DJ right now? Laurent Garnier.
You’ve worked with some quality labels and producers over the years, given the opportunity, who would be a dream collaboration for you? Remixing Depeche Mode would be great. If you could choose a superpower what would it be? Would have to decide between Flying or Teleportation.
Spill the beans . . you’ve obviously been using and putting a studio together for a few years now, for the budding producers out there, what pieces of essential studio kit, hardware/software, would you start getting twitchy without? Probably my UAD-2 cards, but I would recommend investing in good speakers first. Who would win in a dust up between Jason Bourne or Liam Neeson’s character in Taken? Sorry, haven´t seen “Taken”...
When your not making or listening to house/techno music, what other musical styles/genres/artists do you enjoy? Rock. Placebo, Interpol, stuff like that....
