// TBF 'Technology' Jump Recordings //
TBF, aka Tiberiu Fratila from Bucharast, Romania, provides his first full EP for Californian label Jump Recordings, following a remix for them in 2009. ‘Technology’ sees three tracks in the jazzy and jacking style that will be familiar to fan’s of TBF’s work over the past three years. Since his first outing on Jump Recordings - a remix of Arturo Garces ‘Luv’ in August 2009, TBF has attracted some serious interest with releases on DJ Sneak’s Oomph imprint, Phil Weeks’ Robsoul Recordings and Hector Moralez’ label The Factory. Prior to that he also had Kinjo, Home Schooled and Dustpan releases to his name.
Jump Recordings, the sister label of influential techno/tech-house imprint Resource Records, has been all about thick grooves and bumping basslines since its conception in the summer of 1998. The debut of highly toted ‘Selected Sessions Volume 1’, with its deep bass, slicing percussion and catchy riffs, truly marked the introduction of a unique new sound. Created by Silicon Valley producer Chris Jackson as an outlet for his house oriented material, Jump has grown into a stable of quality releases that spans more than a decade. It is currently managed by San Jose house mainstay Arturo Garces. With past and future releases by EBE, DJ Hipp-E, Kenneth Graham, Arturo Garces, Sijay, Jaz, Chris Jackson, Vitamin D, Uneaq and J-Funk, Jump Recordings is continuing to push the envelope with its own brand of quality house music.
